What to use for building rock wall?

What type of clay, putty, etc does everyone use? I bought this epoxy at the petstore for it, but it is terrible...doesnt hold anything. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I use aquascape epoxy and it works well. You have to let it dry for 30 minutes or so.

If you are talking about a flat rear wall most people use pond foam over eggcrate . There are a lot of really nice build how-to's over on rc .

When using the putty or epoxy....does it have to sit out of water or can i mold it and drop it in..because that's what i have done in the past, but it hardens too fast and breaks off....is there a trick to it? All my rock has coral on it so cant be out o the water to do that.
