white moss lookin stuff

growin in a few patches on my LR. its not mold or fungus i dont think...kinda looks cheato but white,and in a mat about 1/8" tall. will have the cable to get pics on here soon but till then any ideas? i think i have seen this stuff in other tanks before

That is a very common kind of sponge that comes in may shapes and varieties, to include color, usually white or yellow, that belongs to the Genus Clathrina sp and a member of the Family Clathrinidae.
