Hello there,

Thanks to the help of JF we were able to come up with the small project. I would like it to be made out of #200 acrylic and I think the thickness is 3/16's ( I have a sheet )

Please let me know if you can do this, length of time. I am looking for something pretty quickly. This must be precise. I have already made one, but it is not as perfect as I would like it to be since I had to use a hacksaw to cut the acrylic. lol

Hello there,

While on was on my Honeymoon ( 2nd day no less ) my return line from the back chambers popped off blowing a gallon of water out of the tank and onto everything. Since my latest mod I don't want to take any chances of it coming off again, so I decided to make this mod which in the event of the hose popping off again the water will blow back into chamber 3 from 4. Those holes will have a 1.5 inch hose connected in there and look something like this when completed.

I think once I make this I will market it to all 12gallon AP owners that have no hood on their tank any longer.

PM sent. He does great work and he has an extensive back ground. Everytime you go into 7 - 11 and the coffee counter those plastic boxes they hold stuff in are made by his company.

Don't mind me but if you are building something from scratch why not make a complete cover for your the three right hand chambers. If your cheato is in the far left one I am assuming(or in the future will be). You could make a cover that the two chiller lines screw into or go through and are clamped on the bottom side of the cover. This would give you a cleaner look without the vacuum cleaner hose .

Hey James... The reason I did not just cover the chambers is cause the backup would be too much. When the hose lets loose it is pumping 240GPH straight up in the air. If I just had a cover it would backup the tank and potentially blow off the cover. This methods allows the water to flow unrestricted into chamber 3. Besides I think it looks kinda kool.. lol.. not that everyone would agree, but it adds some wickedness to the tank.. lol..

Gotcha...if you can get it to make Darth Vader noises that would be cool ;D. Still I would think about including the chiller hoses but maybe I don't understand your plumbing too. So just thinking outloud sorta.
