xenia and star polyps

if these 2 make contact, will they sting each other. im an noticing a minor color change on my star polyps where my xenia brushes against it

No they are almost identical in food capture, they will not sting each other what you got to think about is the tank that the star polyps just came from were they under better lighting more flow so on and so on but they are ok next to each other.
 
k thanks brotha... shoulda just asked ya yesterday when ya were over. only reason i asked is cause where they touch is the only place i notice the discoloration

word up that color change could be where the clowns are nesting can make them close up. Anything else touch it while you were moving something around? If not give it a week or so and see if it gets worse in that area or spreads from that location if it does just slide your stars over to the right more...Probably though from the front lid of the tank sitting up higher can cause color differences.
 
ya know... very true! never thought of that. and that i where the one clown keeps goin in and out. damn that sampson and his antics!
