Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Well, its been awhile, broke both my legs in an ATV acident so my 55g suffered because I was on bed rest for a long time and couldn't do much walking, but i've just finished rehab so I was thinking of setting up a 150g (Looking at tank @ Absolutely Fish the 36"x36"x27", but thats tentative; in...
What I UNDERSTAND is I think that when you have the calcium at the desired level, you start up the calcium reactor and it maintains that level of calcium and alkalinity in your tank. Then, next month, you have to add the media again, which basically maintians the level still. Am I missing...

Would that be ok in a 180g FOWLR (72"x24"x24")?
I'd like your opinions on the equipment I've chosen, as the time to move is coming really close, and I just would like to know if there is some equipment that is better out there, and for the same price (or close to it).

I'd like to know how Naso Tangs are, as far as temperment, friendliness to owner (E.g. such as puffers, triggers, etc.), and I'd also like to know if any of you have them in your tanks, and if you have any pictures. Do you think It'd be fine in a 180g w/ these tankmates...?

A Family friend is planning on upgrading to a 180g FOWLR, and she has around $5,000 to spend on it. She asked me to post on here what type of equipment would she need?
Measurements of the 180g: 72"x24"x25"
Anyone have any info on Sea grasses being in tanks? I think I'd like to implement them in my next tank. What species could I keep, where could I get them? I've also thought about keeping :
Maidens hair
Halmedia (spelling?)
Kelp
Turtle Grass
Shoal Grass
5-Resplendent Anthias
2-Picasso Clownfish (Or similar species)
1-Kole Tang
1-Blue Spot Jawfish
1-Leopard Wrasse
1-Tailspot Blenny
1-Flame Hawkfish
1-Potter's Angelfish
5-Chromis
I was told an ASM G-3 Wouldn't be suitable for this amount of fish, so I need some ideas.
Thanks,
Steve
I am moving to a new home sometime in a few months, as the one we have now is going up for sale. I do not think I am going to be setting up the new tank yet, and I'm not too sure how to move the livestock and 55g over to the new residence, any input would be great. New house is 20 Minutes away...
I heard that glass cages is bad, so I don't know where else to turn. I'm just checking to compare prices to the LFS's in the area, and wanted to see what options were on the internet. So where are good place(s) to order from?
Thanks,
Steve
Would it be comfortable in a 120g, standard measurements, other occupants would consist of:
Yellow or Purple Tang
2 Yashia Shrimp Gobies
1 Leopard Wrasse
2 Ocellaris Clowns or something fancy shmansy
1 Starry Blenny
1 Magnificent Foxface
5 Chalk Bass (Tentative, might go with just 2-3)
Anyone have them before, I was thinking of a small shaol or group in my 120g. I haven't really found much information on them. All help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve
What size tank has a nice footprint, that is visually appealing, and would let me keep a yellow tang. That is currently the only large fish that I am interested in. I would prefer a tank that would give me some nice aquascaping options, as my 55g, has be a bit limited, it seems very narrow...
How can I get rid of it? As of now, the test kits say Nitrates are 0 and phosphates are 0, but I know that isn't true. How can I get rid of the Cyanobacteria?
Thanks,
Steve
Has anyone every dealt with them before? I have only been able to find the Striped Dogface Puffer on their website, if Live Aquaria had it I would buy from them, but this seems to be the only place. One thing I noticed about their website is that their Minimum tank size is out of whack, Picasso...
What would be a nice sized FOWLR tank that would go nicely with a sump of 30gallons? Also, how would you stock it? Could groupers be kept?
Thanks,
Steve
