i'm glad to hear that as well.... all those poor dogs living in those small cages for 22 hours out of each day. and they had more dead fish and inverts in their tanks than live ones. they were a horrible pet store.
i use reef crest... turned down 2 little lights from the strongest setting. i wasn't a believer in vortechs till i used them after winning them at macna. now i am a true advocate.
wow, two of the largest high quality brands. i wonder whose lights will be phased out. does anyone know which has the larger market share in the lighting arena. and as to pricing, i think it won't effect pricing because they just won't be competing with eachother.
1 on each side is better, but the mp10's are debatably slightly on the small size for that tank. also are only good on up to 3/8" glass. i would put the 1 mp40 and plan on adding another when your budget allows. 2 40's at full speed are a bit too much, but they can be turned down.

frag plugs and discs are relatively inexpensive items. unless you were going to make them a certain shape or size with an intended purpose in mind, not sure that even if you did find an appropriate material the would hold the shape without being to fragile, that it would be cost effective. just...
all pvc ball valves are lousy for our use unless you want it strictly to turn the water off completely, if you want to regulate the water, gate valves work better. if you go with ball valves, put a strap on both sides of the valve to keep the pipe secure while operating the valve.
i bought my pass today. i'll buy my plane ticket next week, then book the room in the hotel... anyone else gonna go? i'll refrain from making any clever puns about an event for this hobby being held in that state... just too easy.
