Hey everyone. So today I met with Dave Reeves, who is one of the teachers in charge at the Bergen County Academy. Eric met Dave at Fragfest a few months ago, and we have been trying to meet up for some time. They are located in Hackensack in the makerspace location next to the school. It was really interesting to speak with them, along with one of the college interns, on how the program started, where it is now, and what their plans and goals are for the program. Most of the equipment was built and put together by the students! They have invited NJRC to host a meeting at the location, and are open for us to use the space for other educational purposes. Its always a pleasure to see the younger generation become involved with reef keeping.....the right way. By this i mean by testing and learning by trial and error. I am opening this up for discussion on how we can collaborate together on projects, and how we can help with their goals. Dave, if you see this post, feel free to chime in any information you feel would be helpful. I took some pics and will post it below. For all the North Jersey folks, this is a prime location and really easy to get to. Dave and team, thank you for welcoming me and NJRC, and I look forward to working with you soon.
