I'm brand new to the hobby. I've had freshwater tanks, but I've always wanted to get into saltwater. I'm just starting my research and gaining an understanding of what I need to get started. I'm looking forward to learning from this group and getting involved. I'm located near Mt. Laurel/Cherry Hill in South Jersey.

Thanks so much for the warm welcome and comment. I am thinking of going with something around a 125 gallon for stability and starting as a FOWLR for simplicity sake. Thoughts?

Hello. My name is Jen and I've lived in central Jersey all my life. I was in the freshwater side of the hobby for 15 years but have slowed down to just 1 58g RR Oceanic retirement tank with 10yr old super red pleco trio, 1 13 yr old kuhli loach (been alone his whole life as all his buddies didn't make it through QT 
) and several 10 year old amano shrimps. But I've decided to take the plunge into SW! I finally have the finances and time (and experience) to do it. I will be moving the old timers to another tank and using the 58g for my new mixed reef. Been doing a lot of research and have almost all the gear I need to get going. I will probably do a tank journal if that is a thing here. I look forward to getting to know everyone and basking in your wisdom!
