    Some Practicing with my camera

Camera's just a little ol' point and shoot 8.0 megapixel... but it takes a decent photo. Was just practicing some shots on some stuff. Nothing fancy, and yes, my tank needs coral ;) Doing the slow as you go method, but I'm feeling more comfortable putting some more stuff in there now...150w 14k...

    stopped in ILC on sun

FWIW... I stopped in there very recently... The 'damaged frag tank' was more like a cyanobacteria farm, and cyanobacteria was in other tanks as well. I'm not exagerating. There were corals with hair algae growing ON the actual coral. I saw lots of dead fish scattered through the tanks...nems...

Re: February 2008 Meeting - Saturday 23rd Cherry Hill Yes thanks Billy for opening your house to all to come... My 9yr old had an idea to earn some money to put back in your reef ;D He suggested, about a block away from your house, that you do could do reef diving tours and charge to do...

    HUGE CRISIS W/ SALT LEVELS

I think, if I read his earlier post correctly, instead of topping off, he was buying RO Salt water, or mixing it himself, and doing water changes (adding enough throug the change to accomodate any necessary top off) Sorry to hear about your losses... Hopefully you can get some form of RO...

Tips of my caulerpa are white

Is this cause for alarm? Does this mean they're going to or have release spores? Or is it just from stress? ::)

    Project BioCube (Lots Of Pics)

I started trying that. Also, I've read that using the timer with a tri-pod helps too. Camera is a GE 8.0MP camera. Not the greatest, but it takes decent pics now and again. I've also been tinkering with the apperature settings to see if it helps some... On the starfish, I'll keep an eye on him...

As just an update... Put some smaller frags in there and they're holding up nicely. Thanks to adesimone1 ;) Put in a few zoos (dragon eyes), couple small colt coral pieces, frilly shroom, reg. shroom, and GSP's. You can see the ZILLION copepods on the glass. Every once in a while, I see...

Need some help from the resident "Think Tankers" on this one...

Fat fingers ;) LOL Yeah, I do too. I love the cube with the top, but I was just thinking of keeping the cost more affective. I like the clean look too, but if my wife gouges my eyes out, it wouldn't matter.. LOL Maybe like a dual hanging pendant or something... I saw one recently (used) for...

Need some help from the resident "Think Tankers" on this one...

I've already got the 29 bc tank :) No top, just a tank. Cost well, nothing money wise. Did some stuff (legal ;D) for it So I have no actual out of pocket cash invested... If I did that with the Viper, you're talking 200 for that and 179 for the upgrade in my other BC. So 279+ shipping... I...

Need some help from the resident "Think Tankers" on this one...

My BC 29 is going nicely (for a newer tank ::)) and I'm going to start stocking it a bit. I know a couple things I definitely wanna do. A. Upgrade Lighting on BioCube (179 at nanocustoms) B. Start a smaller frag tank to tinker with (Lets say I have one already) C. Get a lighting set up for the...

Houston, we have a refugium ;) This morning/afternoon I picked up one of these http://lightsofamerica.com/desk.htm (Model 1147TR). It's a desklamp and I have a small table behind the reef (it's in my basement facing my work area so I could care less what the back view looks like). I think it'll...

Almost forgot "Shroomy" as the kids are now calling it. He was the hitch-hiker on that nice Figi rock from Allquatics. Considering what this lil fella proably went through, he could probably with stand anything...even a name like shroomy ;D When I moved him downstairs, he really opened up...

    Project BioCube (Lots Of Pics)

Well, I was staring at the tank tonight...as I always do... And I was inspired by all the pods I saw all over the tank.... I wanted to make a refugium for them. I know most of us know this little trick about turning the center chamber into a fuge, but I snapped off a few pics of it in...
