You don't need to leave the shrimp in for more than 24 hours. Also it will smell terrible when you take it out, so I would recommend a ziplock or something so you don't have to smell it.

I am looking to find something comparable to a reeflo orca 250 pro. I a borrowing an orca now and I love it. My only complaint is the large pump on it. If it wasn't for the larger power draw, I would probably go with the coralvue hurricone. I want the better power factor the dragon style pumps...

I plan to do a blackout on my reef tanks tomorrow for earth day. I figure it might not make a big difference, but it might help a little. Anyone else want to contribute?

Our plan is to use it primarily for event promotions and member awareness so I don't see us using any photos besides for something like a group shot at something like the beech cleanup. But you bring up a good point, if anyone has privacy concerns about their photo being posted on our site...

I would order the correct size. The 400 volt capacitor can withstand a surge of 30 volts higher. The 10uf vs 7.5uf is the measure of capacitance. I don't think it will work, but I am not an expert by any means so take my advice with a grain of salt.

Lowes is now carrying a cree style led bulb. It is $50 for the bigger one, but it would probably be good for a nano softy tank. It looks like they are under powering the led's at 2 watts each.
