Yes, your right, my mistake. So used to people talking RODI that the fingers worked faster than the brain.
Yes, for water to have good taste, need some of those impurities, hence the different tastes of the bottled waters.
In regards to the Ro water, the TDS should be near 0 and their filters may be spent.
Hair algae is something that we all have fought at sometime in our life. There is always a source, you just need to find it.
How old is the tank?
What does your feeding look like and how many times a day...
I started running the dkh around 7 and the tank went south one day and I lost a few colonies I had to frag to save them.
As Stan said, the guide is just a guide. I have slowly over time acclimated my corals to a higher dkh and they are doing great. Now, it was not over night, it takes time.
In...
If I could run the system at 10 I would be happy with that. The corals seem to love that number.
I am running my dkh at 8.5/9 and running full Zeo. With the zeo they tell you to run it low but when you are in the 7 range, the moment something goes wrong, you are now in the 6's and asking for...
Hey. I have built all of the frag tanks that Stan and I take to the frag swaps. My last tank I built was made to those exact specs, although I used 3/8 glass.
Anyone that has seen the frag tanks at Stan's house, they were also made up by us, and you see how they hold together, and the one I...
The problem with Stan's tank is that there is so much color that taking pictures of the tank is hard, so you have to do macro or sections, but when you look at the sections pictures, you get those black holes in it.
We all know that a camera does no justice to a coral, so you need to see it to...
What do you mean by underwater gluing?
If you mean can you place it somewhere underwater and stick something into it while underwater, yes you can. It has about a 15 minute window to play with it. You blend out itside the water, or you can under the water. Can be a pain to work with being that...
Oh yeah, wild turkey is really dry, nothing like the butterball we are all so used to.
Wild Turkey are truly hormone and steroid free!
Wendy, no sweat, when I get one, we talk.
Wow, I am surprised, no hunter/reefers out there.
Accidents big issue now as the deer are running around looking to breed. Some of the males chase so much that the does are running into traffic to get away. Can always tell when the rut begins, as the highways fill with dead deer.
The biggest problem we have here in Jersey is that the deer have...
People spend so much time acclimating their corals to their water, doing the whole drip thing, which I feel also is not so important.
The most important thing about acclimation is light. You have to start those corals out LOW and work them up. I have seen SO many people complain that the coral...
Man that really stinks.
This has happened to ALL of us in some shape manner or form. We have all had problems that we said would be it and we were done, but you have to stick it out.
Water dries but the joy you get looking at a setup tank goes on forever.
Hang in there!
I say the same thing about that gas station, but it seems that everytime I pass, I see there is a car in there. I don't get it.
Do you really need gas that bad that you will pay double the going rate. Kills me, but people do pay it.
Bit on the north part of the central, but $1.97 at the Gulf on Morris Ave in Union.
Bit more north of that, the Exxon in Summit on Morris Ave, last I checked last week was Regular at $4.67!
Wow, not messing around with the equipment you are putting on that tank.
Oh how children change our lives. At least your staying in it, and you will just have to wait a few years and then get into big again.
Cube will be nice, looking forward to seeing it.
You also have some great help...
Steve,
That Seafloor stuff is all shells. Is that what your going with?
Depending on the flow you have in the tank, you may end up needing some 2.0 mm size stuff or greater if the flow is great.
