i feed a mix of frozen or flake once every other day, use rodi onlyand have a reasonably sized cleen up crew.
the fish load is only three small fish, but the tank is loaded with coral.
i have raised the alk to 10 , and going up to 11-12,and doing 10% water changes every 3 to 4 days.

i have tested and found nothing out of the norm besides alk.

just snip them off with clean scissors and use weeding veil to attach to frag disks of rubble..give them a few days to a week to attach and remove the veil and sell/trade.

nice find...its most likely a blowfish...we used to catch they by the bucketfull when i was a kid...i havent seen them around in a few years, so its nice to see they are still around.

first of all be careful of what you get from the local waters...most thing do not survive long at tropical temps. and will become polutants in the tank.

we have all made mistakes , the key is to learn from them.
if it were me , and everything is dead, i would start fresh with the 12.5 gal
start by removing all the dead and decaying corals(live stock), the rock will be fine dont shortchange its ability to survive the spike, it will reseed over...

i was looking at the residential/reefkeeper model and was looking for some feed back from anyone who has it.
i want to have an ro tank for drinking water and the rodi for the tank water
but i want instalation to be easy and want to...
i like the idea ...but i agree it might limit the entries because some people who would otherwise enter might not have a shot of or an opertunity to photograph that months subject.
maybe try it for a few months or select a few months for specific subject only and see how it goes.
