i see no greater risk of flooding, the RODI filter is connected to a solenoid now for the reservoir top off, would be the same thing if connected to the solenoid to top off the sump (through the kalk reactor)
what do you mean short cycling your RO unit?
also, btw, there are timers involved in...
ok, so got a 2nd ATO for Christmas (from myslef) to use in my RO/DI reservior. So when water evaporates from my display tank and the water level drops in the sump my ATO will activate the solenoid valve and dual aqualifters will pull water from my RO/DI reservior and push it through the kalk...
being deployed during the holidays is quite tough, very depressing. please those men and women serving abroad in your thougths and prayers this holiday season!
i always test the SG of water in the bag when i get a new fish, just so i have an idea how much of change the fish is going to go thru, and it is usually very low

well, since the AO bulb group buy is underway, i figured i'd start a thread for us to discuss what type of bulbs we are all currently using and if anyone is considering using a different bulb.
i am currently using 250w DE Reeflux 12k's, considering Ushio 14k's- any thoughts? or possibly even...
i had to remove the standpipe, once i did that and the water drained out of the overflow i was able to net him and release him back into the tank. i wonder how long he was in there. i was so happy to see him in there still alive, i really thought he was somewhere on the floor.
i have a few...
came home today to find my blue throat trigger trapped in one of the overflows. time to get eggcrate above the tank to prevent escapes. seems fine now, eating like a pig.
