I think the aquacontrollers used x10 on older models. The newer ones use a newer technology which has a control wire from the control wire to the outlets. I am waiting for the June group buy to pick one up. x10.com has all sorts of interference filters you could try also.

I never owned a calcium reactor. I am looking into different models and none seem to come with co2. Where would I buy a canister and are they refillable like propane. If they are refillable where would I go? Can anyone offer me some direction?

Hey Twater, you're not the first person that I heard of doing that. I cant see the pros of letting it sit on the tank. I have the 72" 250W and I use it with the legs with no glass on top of the tank. It still fits under the canopy.
