Chris, I may just do that. I want to take them down and take a look first and see what they look like.
While reading someone suggested jumping each led until you find a bad one then swap it out. May try that first.
For the price of the Mars unit coupled with the unreliability of Ocean Revive that seems a better way to go.
Are they quiet? My tank is in my living room and any noise from the tank except an occasional gurgle would not be welcome.
I was the first to order a pair of Ocean Revive S026s when they first came out. I also bought two more to replace a pair of Tao Chinese imports about a year later. The first two became dimmer and dimmer over time until they died. OR was gracious enough to replace them with a new set even though...
Don't act so healthy.
After my wife realized I was going to be OK , I became the maid, cook and chief bottle washer. She comes home from work everyday to a clean house and a home cooked meal. I'm off to Wegmans now to get ready for Thanks Giving.
Enjoy Netflix while you can, and remember...
Hi Chris
If you need any help I am nearby. My daughter Catie is friends with your son and I have
dropped her off at your house a few times. If you need anything at all please feel free to let me know.
I am also home for a while. I was hit by a car while out bike riding but am in the later...
There is some good info on the AWI website. They recommend a booster pump for dual membranes under 60 psi. They have graph that shows the production above 60 to 90 psi and it shows a flattening curve. Not much benefit above 65. I added a booster pump because my pressure was only 45. Now with the...
As far as raising them it is way beyond my skill level and I would never have the time, patience or fortitude to even try. My hats off to those that can do it. I wish it was easier because I have about six or seven breeding pairs of fish in the tank now. Its a joy to watch all the mating dances...
I wish I had an answer for you but its an iPhone video. I didn't do anything special. I did have the flash on the whole time though. I don't remember if it was Manhattan Reefs or Reef Central but someone came up with an ingenious way to compensate for the blue by holding color film swatches in...

I know nothing ever comes from it but it is so cool to watch them lay eggs every other week. I have 2 pairs that constantly breed.
If you already ordered the RW-8s there's no rush to go out and spend more money on pumps you may not need. Wait for the next generation to come out and make your decision then. If it helps I have a pair of RW-20s in a 225 and am very happy with the flow and the controllers. They are very quiet...
I have the AWI high pressure switch on mine. If yours works the same way there is a small hex screw on the switch that you can adjust the shut off pressure with. I had to play around with mine for a while to find the max pressure of the unit and have it shut down automatically.
I added a pump to the Typhoon Extreme III and it probably doubled my water output. From what I've read there is very little improvement in output once you go above 65psi unless you have a dual membrane setup. I have no problem filling a 32 Brute can over night. I have a 29 gallon tank that is...
Rods food is a staple in the tank along with a mix of assorted frozen and New Era flake. I don't spot feed anything and from what I understand any food we add is too large for the scallops.
