There are 2 grades of baking soda. One for cleaning and another for food grade. I don't know of it makes abig difference but the food grade one is certified as pure.
I use Prestone Heat also. No problems. I buy the food grade A & H at Walmart. I think it's $1.50 for a pound or so. I haven't seen Dowflake around for awhile.
Majestic angels are the least aggressive But the most shy. Feed the tank and walk away for a while. It will find the food. It will slowly venture out over the next couple of weeks. If you have one use a turkey baster to squirt some food where he is hiding.
I have both a Flame and an African Flame back in a well fed 250. Both are model citizens. I just added a small Majestic that I picked up at Bath Avenue Aquarium in Brooklyn for $68. We'll see how it works out. Beautiful fish.
As you know, everyone has strong opinions on LEDs. I have 3 of the TaoTronics on a custom 225 starfire mixed reef. Everything grows great and most things have very good color. That being said, Mushrooms
have a hard time growing except in the deep shade. Welslo hates it. Clams and Anemones color...
I dropped my phone and shattered the back glass. I brought it to the Apple store in the Freehold mall and they fixed it for $29. A pleasant surprise that it wasn't $100.
I go through at least 10 gallons of top off a week as well as 30 gallons of water change every other week so buying by the gallon isn't an option. I use mine as a water supply to the fridge for ice and water as well as RODI for the tank. You cant imagine the difference in taste. It makes bottled...
I started the hobby using an inline charcoal filter instead of RODI. I was fish only for the first six months and everything went fine. When I started adding corals they did well for a few months then started to deteriorate. Greg hit upon the tap water as the culprit. I bought an AWI Typhoon...
Lowes and Home Depot both offer the installation service. I looked into it. Its about $1,200 for a 7,000 btu generator and about the same amount again for installation.
Just be warned. There's always a long waiting list after a big storm.

It explains why in common terms. You have everything setup the safest way.
It depends on the fish. Unless you have Anthias or something else that needs to be fed constantly I would only feed once a day at most. Every other is fine most times. Quality pellets are
best but still contain phosphates. Your tank is also new so it is still cycling through silicate and other...
After repeatedly trying to raise my Ph with no luck I decided to double check the new Salifert Ph test I bought. Turns out no matter
what I tested it came up with the same 7.8. I rechecked with the old API and it confirmed I overshot up to 8.6.
You never know who to trust.
I have 4 Chinese LEDs on a 225. SPS grows well and the clams are growing even on the sand at the bottom. For $150 on Ebay you can't go wrong, especially for a fowlr. That being said, I am
eventually looking to go with the Maxspect razors that just came out.
If you follow Manhattan Reefs and...
