Peaceful, Non-jumpin and schooling fish that wont overrun a 40G

Still waiting on the ones that you had promised to genetically modify so that they look like miniature Merlin Monroes with the tail fins of a dolphin that's bright golden in colour and smells like lavender. Let me know once you are done. I'll get 60 of them to school in my tank. Monroereef...

Peaceful, Non-jumpin and schooling fish that wont overrun a 40G

Seriously, is this too much to ask ::) But it seems it is easy to go wrong looking for such a fish. I have just found one so far, the royal gramma. Anyone else know of any other fish that might fit the bill ? I am thinking of keeping just a small school of the same type of fish in my tank ...

    Toxic Salt??

If phosban does reduce heavy metals (and looks like it does), then remind me again why we dont use dechlorinated (perhaps even filtered) tap water with phosban. I thought heavy metal removal was RO/DI's major selling point ???

OT: Traffic Attorney in East Brunswick

dont know if this works in Jersey, but I got pulled over in TX earlier this year, and filed for deffered disposition. If the court allows you this (and they did for me) you could get the record expunged. If you just want points not show up in license you could always plead guilty to (I think)...

    Sump without drilling

Re: Sump without drilling (Plan B :) ) Ok here's another plan (look at diagram below) In this one I would be using a pump in the sump to feed my display tank, and the output of my HOB skimmer to feed my sump. Since both of the devices are electrical they would shut down and turn on at the...

    Toxic Salt??

Whoa !! I just realised that I had not looked at this foot note ever. Is there a list of the metals that Phosban removes? I found the following product which pretty much removes everything (including the required ones). Perhaps it aimed at a freshwater market ...

    Sump without drilling

After learning about Jon's (1f-2f) horror stories with his HOB overflow, I am hesitant to go that route. And as the post says that I am not thrilled about drilling either. Looks like this project is on hold till some time. Thanks a lot for your inputs Paul.

    Sump without drilling

Thanks for the reply rf-bf and raising pertinent doubts. I am assuming (big assumption this), that the major factor in controlling the rate of water flow from display to sump would be the height of water column above the siphon intake(determining the pressure at intake point) and the radius of...

    Toxic Salt??

That is precisely my thoughts when I see some research date that is contradictory to empirical results. (The big Deep/Shallow sand bed and bare bottom issue is another case in point). If anything hasn't exhibited harmful effects over years of usage by millions of users, then it can't be all...

    Sump without drilling

I was thinking of adding a sump, for the practical advantages that it provides (addition aof gravity dosers, reactors etc.), but did not want to get into the tank drilling tanks. Please let me know if the following would work. I was thinking, of the following setup. 1. Have the sump below the...
