I always wonder why they even post a suggested dose and not instructions like that.. I have been doing the prodibio thing, 2 months into it and I am starting to see major improvements. I figure it wont be till around six months before I see full blown results. I took my phos reactor off line...
Judging from what I see doing a five gallon two weeks water change isn't enough. Again it is recommended to do a ten percent water change weekly. with your 180 I would think the min to do would be twenty every week. Keep in mind with what you are trying to do you are ripping out all nutrients...
maintaining a system in my manor can get quit expensive. I dose lots of stuff and I do weekly water changes so between additives and all that it adds up. I have always had the mindset of keeping the system as simple as possible but like previously stated I never got the colors to pop the way I...
everything that I've read about going bac driven always said to do 10% water change weekly so I would prob start there. go back to what you were doing.
I have a pretty big pink cap I am looking to possibly trade for some zoos. The coral is getting to big for my tank. I'd rather trade it whole for a few diff zoos, rather than breaking it down but will if I have to. Thanks.

I will let you know. might be able to tomorrow if not possibly over the weekend. also if you arent using a hanna photometer there is no way to accuratly check for phosphates. if you want you can bring a water sample by my place and I can check all levels here, except for phos. You can also see...
Ive been feeding them a mix of elos omegas, elos pro skimmer which is a coral food and KZ coral vitalizers. I think those are really good liquid foods for corals. they are liquids which are easliy extracted by a protin skimmer.
you can do a 50 gal water change but if the salt you are using is mixing at those levels then you are never gonna get the levels to come down via water changes. also before adjusting salinity keep in mind, a hydrometer isn't accurate at all. I would not bring salinity to 1.026 without checking...
it is almost impossible to rid that. even people running ultra low nutrient systems have to, the only thing is there are certain things you can do to avoid it happening to quickly. might as well consider it part of maintenance.
