I will be the guinea pig

its only been a few days after doing my second water change using the reef actif and I must say, I have never seen the polyp extension I see in my tank the way I have this past week. My corals all look so healthy and my water looks so crisp and clean. I cant say what the long term effects of...

I will be the guinea pig

Hey everyone, I tried looking for any type of reviews from people using Tropic Marin reef actif and can't seem to find any. It is the product which Tropic Marine will be incorporating in their new salt, Bio Actif. I will keep posting and let you know how my progress goes using this product. I...

    Worried about naso tang!

From my research I have found nothing to be a full proof meathod. There are a few things you can try but it's at your own risk. Do some of your own research on it before you think to attempt anything. Fresh water dips, I understand are a way of killing the parasite. If you tang will eat than I...

Hippo tang with ich or the white spots

I am not 100% sure about this but I thought convict tangs did not do well in captivity. I thought they were hard to get to eat?

    My 75g reef

Yes T5 is amazing. Since I redid my filtration my tank has been much easier to keep everything in check. I think stability was my biggest challange but once I started dripping kalk, along with my two part, I was able to keep everything in check with minimal fluxuation. It is amazing watching...

    My 75g reef

a little info on my set up. I started out with just little live rock and a few fish. I was never planning on going over to reef, let alone sps/lps. I started my tank March of 2007. I was running my 75 gal with PC bulbs, coralife, a wet dry, with a rio skimmer. around Nov 2007 I decided to...

    achilles tang

I know. I had a beautiful purple tang in my tank. I took him out and replaced him with the Achilles. The purple was simply amazing. He ate like a champ and looked flawless. A truly beautiful fish. The reason I opted to getting him out was because he was a real bully. None of my other fish could...
