i personally would run a skimmer to remove all of the dead organics. do frequent water changes in the beginning and reduce as you reduce the load on the skimmer.If you are going to cure for months then i would add a light and a few pieces of coraline incrusted live rock to start colonizing the rock.
some zoos are different than others. some are fast growers some are slow growers. tank conditions are also a factor as stated above in previous posts.for me they seeem to need some space to grow out. if you place them on a plug and fill the plug they seem to slow thier growth rates. stick...
i dont have sand in my tank or an anemone. my maroon hosts in my bubble coral. any other corals in the vacinity will be picked up and spit off the rocks. territorial little bugger but still a cool fish.
