Mates, no luck catching the crab. The fishnet concept would have worked flawlessly had the crab made it to the top of the reef. Lying inside the fishnet trap was a fine piece of jumbo shrimp tied to a rock with fishing line. Every hermit , peppermint and blood shrimp in the tank came to the...
Wendy, he is like 4 inches across. Monster !!!! Destroyed one of my favorite SPS pieces last night...... Going hunting tonight with the lights out.................
I recently converted my general 90 tank to all Sps. Took me three weekends to place all the 65 frags I have in rocks. I have had a problem with a long time hitch hiker----a green blue crab about the size of a cell phone..... Well, this morning when I checked the tank, it was as if a Tornado went...
IHi, I remember seeing that one bleeched. I have had that happen as well. At first, I thought it was light intensity but moved it horizontally in the water column although to an area of lesser flow. Wala!!!!!!!!!! Mine came back.
I shut all my pumps off so the water is a dead calm. Then , I use a tyrkey baster and feed cyclopeeze and mysis(frozen) . I just let all the food sit on top and soon its all gone.
Hope this helps. I have over 20 heads on mine....

I have a green and an orange plate coral in the bottom of my 75 Reef. They are not the easiest to keep and do require stronger lighting than compacts. Mine are under 2 X 250 14K Phoenix and T5s. Also, I have seen many small frags succumb as its been my experience that smaller pieces are just...
Hi Steve,
It was more of a large frag than a large colony pulled directly from the sea so I may have mislead you. Nonetheless, I did try to frag it but this morning the 3 frags were all shedded and white as well.So thats that. All the other SPS , including two from you at the swap, are...
Updat:
Well its been two days since my post. Looks like my new Pacific East sps colony is succumbing to rapid tissue necrosis(RTN). It has begun shedding its skin and that which remains has become pure white. There is a small (one inch) portion thats not yet affected so I may just frag it and...
