If I were you I would order 4 Blue Plus, 2 AB Special, and 1 Coral Plus (one extra bulb) and just play around with you like. I personally think 4 Blue Pluses looks too blue, but many people run 4 blue plus out of 6 bulbs and like the look.
Here is my 2 cents from my experience:
ATI Blue Plus: Solid blue bulb as said previously with very good PAR
ATI Aquablue Special: white bulb with a 12k look as said; again, great PAR
ATI Purple Plus: as said, like the fiji purple, very purplish, decent PAR
ATI Coral Plus: Suppose to be 30%...
Coralife bulbs are pretty worthless. The PAR is extremely low. When you replace your bulbs it is probably best to stick with ATI. There are some other random bulbs that have good PAR, but ATI makes such a good range of bulb colors now, if you don't know a whole lot about T5 bulbs, you can't...

This is the pump you want, no question. One of the best pumps on the market, 3 year warranty, super quiet, ultra efficient. And this is the stock pump on the same size new Reef Octopus Super Reef skimmers. Seems pricey but worth...
The past few months I have started to get this too and can't figure out why. I have never in all my years had this. I think its diatoms as well and it grows as the lights are on. You guys think changing the bulbs will have an effect?
Well that would explain high PO4. You should never use water that hasn't been run through everything including the membrane and the resin. And a salinity of 1.030 would explain high everything. Make sure you are using the ro/di properly, get a refractometer with calibration solution, and try...
And my favorite question to ask when people get out of wack numbers from testing...... What are you using to test your salinity? Hydrometer or refractometer? Refractometer calibrated with solution or water? I bet your salinity is actually like 1.031, it would explain everything. I am in...
Mine hatch all at once about once a month literally about 5 minutes after the lights go out on que. The fish go nuts for them, my pipefish is especially fat and happy that night every month.
If it soft and flimsy out of water it may be Caulacanthus ustulatus, but if it is pretty hard, spikey, and kind of brittle, it is probably Ochtodes sp. People actually sell it because it is bright purple (I had some at one time), but it breaks off easy and gets everywhere and starts to take...
I just did a lot of research for a skimmer for my 58 and went with the Super Reef Octopus 1000 Int. People like that SWC but some have had problems with the pump apparently. The Bubble Blaster pump on the SRO is probably the best pump on the market right now. Love this skimmer, only wish I...
I would go with this return pump

I just bought the 2000 version to replace a mag5 and its great. Very compact, very efficient, very quiet, 3 year warranty, and eheim quality. And the flow is adjustable. And the price is...
Yeah, they actually eat the tentacles of the Condy anemones in the wild. He was eating mine some, but it didnt really affect the Condy for me. It never occurred to me he may eat other corals. But yeah, that is definitely why his colors are so bright.
