    Bicolor angel

Just bought a beautiful Bicolor Angel this week. I know they can be difficult, but have a well established tank (14 yrs) with plenty of live rock for nibbling and hiding. So far though, haven't had much luck getting him to eat. Tried several Angel fish mixes, both flake and frozen, blood worms...

    Dwarf Lion Fish

Panmanmatt, I think you are right.. It looks like the Antennata Lion fish that is pictured on the Live Aquaria website. http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15+36+225&pcatid=225

    Dwarf Lion Fish

Normally I would have.. But, if you've never been to the Hidden Reef's annual sale, it's a mad house.. I'll stop by there tomorrow and see what advice the can give. With trigger's and wrasses, they usually eat anything they can get their teeth into. I sort of thought the lion would be the same...

    MH not working

I have an older halide fixture with 2 175W lamps. One side stopped working last week, so I decided to replace the ballast. Before ordering a new one, I decided to take a few voltage readings and got some unexpected results. On the lamp that is working, the ballast output starts at 40V when first...

Some days I love this hobby! What the heck is THIS?

Glad I could help spark a little interest from your wife in the tank. As far as I can tell, they don't bother anything. I alway look at it as "deversity" in the tank. Just something else to look at.. You might notice a few brown & white legged brittle stars too. Don't know where I got them from...

Some days I love this hobby! What the heck is THIS?

Matt, that would be from me.. Have never seen them eat anything, but they do multiply quick. A few are OK , but every once in a while, I'll pull out 20 or so, just to thin the heard. Sorry.. I have some zoo frags that seem to be fine, and I KNOW they don't eat mushrooms. Just gotta find...

    Great stuff found in l/r

Haven't seen any thing crawling around yet. Did a light scrub and a 50% water change on Sunday. This week the smell has gone down considerably. . I'm sure a few months after it hits the tank, we'll see all sorts of interesting new life forms in the tank. With all the stuff that was growing on...
