Anyone watch Survivor.. Almost got sick when I saw Ozzie spear a beautiful Regal Angel fish.. Of all the fish in the ocean, he had to pick that one.. Hope it made him sick.
Just bought a beautiful Bicolor Angel this week. I know they can be difficult, but have a well established tank (14 yrs) with plenty of live rock for nibbling and hiding. So far though, haven't had much luck getting him to eat. Tried several Angel fish mixes, both flake and frozen, blood worms...
Panmanmatt, I think you are right.. It looks like the Antennata Lion fish that is pictured on the Live Aquaria website.

Normally I would have.. But, if you've never been to the Hidden Reef's annual sale, it's a mad house.. I'll stop by there tomorrow and see what advice the can give. With trigger's and wrasses, they usually eat anything they can get their teeth into. I sort of thought the lion would be the same...
Just wondering if anyone has one and what they feed them. I bought one at the Hidden Reef sale on Saturday, thinking he would eat a Clam/Squid mixture, like my trigger. But so far, no luck.. I've been looking for live ghost shrimp with no success.. any ideas? thanks, Salty
I have an older halide fixture with 2 175W lamps. One side stopped working last week, so I decided to replace the ballast. Before ordering a new one, I decided to take a few voltage readings and got some unexpected results. On the lamp that is working, the ballast output starts at 40V when first...
Got my original certification at Aquatech in Maple Shade and my pool dives at Burlington County College. Went to Dutch Springs in Bethlehem, PA. I think we did 6 weeks of 2 hour class room and 2 hour pool each week. Then 5 dives up at Dutch Springs.
Thanks Phil, I'm over in Burlington, not to far from Cherry Hill and Trenton. Don't know exactly where Mainland HS is, but it sounds like it's down the shore somewhere.
Glad I could help spark a little interest from your wife in the tank. As far as I can tell, they don't bother anything. I alway look at it as "deversity" in the tank. Just something else to look at.. You might notice a few brown & white legged brittle stars too. Don't know where I got them from...
Matt, that would be from me.. Have never seen them eat anything, but they do multiply quick. A few are OK , but every once in a while, I'll pull out 20 or so, just to thin the heard. Sorry.. I have some zoo frags that seem to be fine, and I KNOW they don't eat mushrooms. Just gotta find...
Haven't seen any thing crawling around yet. Did a light scrub and a 50% water change on Sunday. This week the smell has gone down considerably. . I'm sure a few months after it hits the tank, we'll see all sorts of interesting new life forms in the tank. With all the stuff that was growing on...
OK, getting ready for delivery of our LR group buy. Got a 25 gal. rubbermaid tub, new saltwater mixed, heaters running to get temp up, powerhead and external hang on filter for circulation. Now what, just gotta monitor ammonia and nitrates till they level off? Weekly water change of about 10...
