Yes. The Zoas will multiply and grow beyond the disc. But they all grow at different speeds, so if they look nice expect them to take some time. From experience, they don't grow so well on sand, so mount the disc on a rock.

Considering I have been dealing with this problem since my 65gal almost 3 years ago. I guess you could say in between various solutions there were a few months where nothing was done to try and correct it. Nothing didn't help, so now it is time to try something again.

I am going to pick up a diatom filter today and see if that helps any.
