Its dKH. And I am not understanding why its not being pulled out either. There are filters on the fans now. Also I really don't see much in the sump water, it looks better than my DT water.
Well the ton of flow didn't do the trick, so I tried turning down the flow. So yesterday I turned off all power heads and have just the return pump going maybe 700gph and I am also running a 50 micron sock. But this tank must be in the twilight zone, because nothing is fixing this issue.
I pic probably wouldn't show much, but I will explain how it is hooked up.
The cylinder is being controlled by Milwaukee SMS122 (set at 6.9), that was calibrated with 4 and 7 solution about 7 months ago. The line from the cylinder goes to a bubble counter (120bpm) then into the chamber. The...
After doing all that cleaning this past weekend I thought I would go into the tank again and blow off the rocks. Looked like a snow storm. Large and small pieces flying everywhere, it almost looks like tiny pieces of LR. I have a 50 micron sock on there now, and the return pump at full power. I...
That was the effluent right out of the reactor and it is going through a lot of co2.
What adjustments do I have to do to the reactor to make it react other than control it with the controller and keep co2 going through it. Could the effluent be running through too fast for a reaction to take...
The day after I posted this I cleaned my ATO tub, for the past week or so I have only been topping off with RO. (as I have been posting)
I did bring my parameters up manually to normal levels but they only lasted a day. The following day the ca was lowering and the alk was lowering even though...
So with the Ca reactor running about as fast as recommended I am still seeing that it is not keeping up.
It is set up as follows:
effluent ph 6.8
CO2 120-130 bpm
effluent is a small steady stream
Here are my levels over the past 3 days, no water changes have been done in the past 3 days, only...
Over the weekend I did some very extensive cleaning of the tank. All tank parameters are in order now. The amount of floaters has decreased but they are still noticeable. I am going to run a 50 micron sock over night and see what everything looks like in the morning.
I have a mag 9 on my 90, but turned back to about 75%. Also you should consider installing a ball vale on the return to the display instead of the inflow to the sump, the amount flowing into the display will determine the flow in the sump, w/o the worry of an overflow should something gets...
Sorry it took so long for the update, but I have been doing a lot with the tank lately. Over the weekend we completely disassembled the tank, removed all the corals and rock. Had the wife clean the tank of all the sediment she could find, and I washed every rock in a tub of heated SW with a few...
I have everything on it's own timer. HD has those outdoor timers with the little clear cover to keep the moisture out and they have a dongle that plugs into the strip so it only takes up one outlet.
I do have a calc reactor, and dose Kalk with my ATO. I was thinking that a while back too, so what I did was raise the ATO pump about an inch from the bottom of the tub I also have the ATO dump into a 100 micron sock. I am thinking maybe it is just percip from the MG being so low. I am working...
here is the FTS. The korilias I just put in to see if moving more water would help.
although it doesn't look like in in the pic, the water surface has plenty of flow.
