    Feed during cycling?

I'm beginning to suspect that 1 out of the 3 that I thought were zoos is actually aiptasia. It definitely does have the pointy tentacles that the other 2 don't. I'll try to squirt some lemon juice on it tonight. Might have to turn the rock over coz it's on the underside of the rock.

    Feed during cycling?

Ok, I figured I should take them out. I think I saw 4 of them the past few days. Two are avid glass climbers. The other two are just hanging out on the rock. What about the white starfish that is not irregularly shaped? Should I remove him too?

    Feed during cycling?

I'm on day 4 of cycling my CAD22 with LR and LS. LR came mostly from monroereef out here (thanks, btw) plus another 5 lbs from Trop. Salinity is at 1.025 with a refractometer. 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites and 0 nitrates. I think pH is low at 7.8 to 7.98? On the back, I have floss, purigen and chemipure...

    MP20 Powerhead Position

Thanks. I thought so, too. Although, I seem to have read somewhere that opposing flows aren't good either.

    MP20 Powerhead Position

Hi- What's the optimal position for an MP20 powerhead on a CAD 22 tank? Browsing thru the forums, it seems like people place their powerheads on the same side as the return? In the case of the CAD 22, the return is on the right side. Should I put the MP20 on the left side or the right side...

I heard good things about that place down in TR as well. I will visit there probably next weekend since I'm doing AO tomorrow.

New to the hobby....hello to everyone and some questions.

How much should I expect to pay for LR? I haven't really asked any LFS but know the pricing online from DFS, Oceanreef, etc. I estimate I will need somewhere around 25 to 30 lbs for a Cad 22. And about 40 lbs of LS.

New to the hobby....hello to everyone and some questions.

I'm driving around NJ like crazy visiting these LFS..LOL! But, it's a lot of fun especially now that it's summer. As I've said AO is this Sunday. Not planning to get anything yet coz my tank is not completely setup. I still have a few LFS on my list to visit. I just want to make sure that the...

New to the hobby....hello to everyone and some questions.

I actually went to Trop last weekend as well as OG II. On either visits, I didn't talk to anyone. I just wanted to look around and observe. I thought Trop had well-kept tanks? I seem to have seen more dirty tanks and dead fish over at OG II. But, somehow, a lot of people here recommend OG II...

New to the hobby....hello to everyone and some questions.

Does AO sell LR, LS and RO or saltwater? They aren't too far. Maybe 30 mins from where I live. Thanks again! I surely will need a lot more advice as soon as I start the cycling process in a couple of weeks.

    How many hours of lighting?

Scotty, What kind of eggcrate and where can I get them? New to the hobby and I've been reading people using some sort of eggcrate in the chamber. I'm assuming it's not the ones that are cardboard or styro from real eggs sold in the supermarket? Sorry for the ignorance! Thanks. Warren
