i have to lower the exposure on my camera - and get my white balance better. the pics are consistently too bright - and either bluer than in real life, or not blue enough. in this case not blue enough.
but heres some pics.

let me know how that acropower works for you in terms of growth and color. so far i just feed my sps a mixture of cyclopeeze, bbs, oyster eggs, and reefroids. would be interested in possibly adding to the mix.
id like to find out the NO3 and PO4 concentrations in my tank, but only have API test kits. i was hopping somebody with a higher quality test kit would be willing to let me mooch a test off of them.
got a hollywood stunner which is growing very fast. made a frag and can make more.
$10 for a frag - or trade for zoas/palys i dont have yet, or encrusting SPS.

thank you :).
speaking of great corals... my plate coral formed its first anthocauli. WOOOO! hopefully it makes more, but hey at least with this one (assuming nothing goes wrong with my tank) means i wont lose the coral. at it is a very gorgeous coral - pale with a bright purple mouth and...
holy crap. i wish i was like that. i had a tank crash cuz kh shot through the roof a few years ago. now i dont add anything before testing it - so i test kh mg and ca every other day or so. but i only use cheap test kits.
since i got back, some of my corals have been showing a lot more polyp expansion than before. probably cuz ive been feeding more heavily. i snapped some pictures.

found my needle and injected the ****er. it actually fell off the rock (or a large chunk got ripped off as i stabbed it 3 times - injected each time so at least one hopefully actually got in) so i pulled that bit out. then i examined the little thing and determined its more likely a second...
i think i have a new syringe needle somewhere in the tank drawers (i always have spare syringes for dosing, but never needed the needles), if i can find it, ill try shooting it up with some vinegar, if i can manage to stick it. the bugger is positioned in a crack with just the crown ontop...
so i found an aiptasia in my tank. and maybe a second baby next to it (about an inch away) - but it could just be a tiny feather duster.
anybody wanna share what they did to get rid of em?
i have read about injecting the base with kalk, pour kalk paste over the nem, and that there is a...
got back a few days ago. no damage :D
everything grew a bit, though some things lost their color. not too shocking since the skimmer cup wasnt emptied for 2 weeks, so there was not skimming going on.
i forgot to adjust the white balance before taking the pics, so everything looks a bit...
id be interested in the utter chaos and rastas. single polyp would be awesome if you could do it, but i understand if you cant. also interested in sps.
not sure when you have to have them gone by. im currently away and will be for 10 more days.

there are people who get them to eat frozen and prepared food without any pods.
there is a long topic on it on nano-reef: http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/256327-the-many-methods-of-training-dragonets/
but apparently it can take a few months.
