You might want to try the hydrogen peroxide method in the new c the journal. It worked great for me on my red hair algae. I would think it would work well on that algae as well. I just squirted the rocks with straight hydrogen peroxide and then dipped the rock in fresh salt water before...
I know there isn't any way to tell. It is just wierd that the day I put an anemone in their thank they started hosting something. If they do stick with the zoas it probably would be easier not having the bubble tip in there.
I just added a bubble tip anemone to the tank and the same day my clownfish decided to start hosting... on my zoas. Previously they didn't care to be in anything. Are they practicing? Excited? Dumb? Is it a possibility that they will eventually try get used to the anemone or do they pick for...
You're right there is waste and I guess I was looking at that a little one dimensionally. From what I understand though the waste it isn't multiple trash cans full of waste water.
Also I was thinking that if you feed back into the RO membrane, wouldn't you need to adjust for the lost pressure...
Yeah, I know a few print on demand places we could use. There are a few that I have used before. I got the photoshop stuff down and have no problem doing the work. I just wanted to see if anyone wanted to do it.
I did want to see what everyone would come up with if people submitted shots...
Re: Ricwilli's 210 build
I was thinking of switching over myself. All those wonderful toys I saw at Macna and now I want to spend until my wallet bleeds dry.
I wouldn't skip corals altogether, no reason to get nervous about it. If you want mushrooms and other softies they will be fine with an anemone. Buble tips don't have as strong of a sting as condys and some of the others. I have see many tanks with plenty of softies and lps mixed in with...
I would hold off on the BTA for a while. They aren't as forgiving to water quality. Some people say to wait a year, I would wait at least 4 or so months until you get into the swing of things.
Ok well when I hit post someone beat me to it... ;D
The shotglass cup algae got devoured within an hour of going in my tank. My tangs really liked them, lesson learned. I don't know I think the par value is pretty good for a 75 gallon. 175 watt equivalent isn't that weak. I have sps under an 18 watt light that is growing.(slowly) I think it is...
I don't really care to argue today. But I wasn't wrong with anything I said. They are cree SMD's with 120 degree optics. They are just a different wavelength than the pdf I linked. I also wasn't wrong in saying they are a lower output led.
Anyhow, as long as everyone stays away from anything...
I am not really disputing that those lights can put out those par values, but my dispute is that they are using a crap load more of cheaper leds to do it. Its the same as using 10 10watt bulbs or 1 100 watt bulb. For ease of repairing it and my favorite principle KISS, how much harder do you...
