my purple tang was attacking my clips like one of mike vicks pitbulls. he would pull the suction cup off the glass everytime. so i started zip tying the algae to a piece of rubble and dropping in the bottom of the tank, but he was actually moving it this way too. and the hermits were getting at...

i too use a mag 9.5 on my 180g, works fine for me. mag-18 on my skimmer & mag-7 on fug.

thanks for the feedback, i just feel like that 12k bulb isnt working the way it should, it just doesnt seem bright enough compared to the 10k's, i dont know. i will try to post some pics soon to show what i mean.
