Not to bad I guess, I can't get a reading for that calcium though its the wierdest thing. Oh well I'll finally know everything tomorrow from Brian. I'll post tomorrow night!
No skimmer yet, unless it comes later this evening. But anyway, I do plan on going up to Ocean Gallery II tomorrow afternoon after a few games of bowling and Brian emailed me back say it would be no problem testing the water and is looking forward to meeting me so I'm excited for that. Anyways...
Hopefully skimmer will be here tomorrow ::) And I plan to go to A.R.M. thursday to get my water test and I also plan to go up to Ocean Gallery II the same day. I've been reading alot about the vendors and sponsors and figured I should finally take advantage of being a member of NJR and going out...
Thanks for idea, but the whole skimmer was really poorly made. My intake tube I didn't even notice cracked when I tried to put the needle wheel back together. So I'm guessing it was just very crappy plastic? Anyway, I was talking to two folks who had the Remora and they were selling it for...
Well I have a smaller filter I could hook up for the mean time. But that Rio was really cheap, I just toke the intake tube out to do my routine cleaning and I went to connect it back into the needle wheel and the thing just broke. So I mean Im trying to negotiate with folks about acquiring one...
So anyways,
My skimmer actually broke last night, well the needle wheel injector part at least. So obviously the whole thing is useless. Makes it even more of a reason for the AquaC to come my way!!
Little update: I'm looking to acquire the AquaC Remora skimmer. I have posted my interest in the for sale/trade forum. There is a guy on ReefCentral that had this one but I was weary of the collection cup. http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1548181
I was just wondering since I'll soon be adding soft corals in about a month, should I maybe consider getting a new skimmer? I'm using the Rio Nano Skimmer for a bioload of four fish, maybe 5 turbo snails, 3 red hermit crabs, and 3 blue legged hermits. I was looking at the bak-pak HOB skimmer. I...
Been doing water changes with the reef salt and getting better n better results. I at least want to give it to mid February to see where my test results are my then. I mean I got that other Reef test kit from API and so far have only tested for calcium because honestly it was my first concern...
Hey its fine that everyone defended him. I don't really want to comment on the situation because I know I'll say things that will get me kicked off of here. You know I'm at my wits end because it doesn't matter what I do because on here, I'm always wrong. I guess that I'll keep my info to a...
You know something, I wasn't here to start any trouble or anything, but then you have to make a sarcastic post like that. Dude, back off a little bit. I LISTEN TO WHAT EVERYONE SAYS!!! I don't know how many times I can say it. The first time I've been commended on being patient you have to go...
I post this morning frustrated. I went to test my calcium, I added 40 drops, water didnt change one bit. After I mixed the Seachem reef salt in there I was thinking the calcium would show up in some form, but it is non existent. If you multiple 40x15 that is 600!! I'm not even getting a reading...
Thanks Wendy, I know how delicate these corals are and I want to do everything right, the first time! :) Anyway yeah ill post more pics if ya want with my test results tomorrow night. Again thanks for the support, I do currently have 2 clowns, 1 sapphire damsel, 1 rusty angel and 1 six-line. So...
My water quality is up to par. I just added my 10 g mix of the Seachem sea salt this morning, so i figured to let things settle then I can test tomorrow. Its not like Im itching to place an order right now. Im just looking, thats all. I know it seems like I dont know what Im doing and alot of...
I did my big water change this morning and I will start testing tomorrow after work and post my hopefully good results on here later tomorrow night. One of my other Wrasses did kill the other one, I got credit on the one fish though so its good, and I learned a lesson. I'm looking to see what...
