Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
T5s are all about the reflectors. Individual reflectors are what allows T5s to rival MH lighting in many applications.
Current's Nova Extreme line (the non-pro version) recently was switched to pseudo individual reflectors. It's one sheet that is bent around each bulb. IE: Instead of V V V V V...
ATI, URI, Korallen Zucht and Gieseman are the more common bulbs I hear about being used. T5s let you play with the color so much depending on bulb configuration.
This is a great thread on the subject with a ton of pictures in the first 100 posts...
How high up on the skimmer is the sump's water level? Are you getting bubbles? When you're tuning your skimmer you are going to want to tweak the valve and check up on it a few times. The bubbly water level can take some time to settle to a true level. At the aquarium, they normally rise after...
I run the AC silly.Seriously though my house is set to 72/73 year round. I'm considering selling the pendant and getting some T5s instead to help with cooling. When I get a chance I'm going to open it up. I'm pretty sure that some of the moter windings have been fused together. I guess I have to...
I haven't seen a Nanowave 9 in a few years and now I know of 2 recently set up tanks.
Wings first and foremost. Out of the East I like the Devils, but I'm more of a fan of players. With the notable exception of the Leafs and Rangers.
So my cooling fan fell into my tank last night. No harm came to anything that I can tell other then my temps hitting the mid-high 80s today.
Should I toss the fan or do you think it would still be safe to use?
Worst case scenerio could be getting an aquaclear 110 HOB filter and modding it into a refugium. Though this is typically a nano thing and I'm not sure how beneficial it would be on a 90.
You might be able to mod a CPR so that the pump is internal to the box and decrease the return pipe. It's...
It depends on how much space you have on the back of your tank. On a 90 you can fit either 2 mediums or 1 large. The 2 mediums would give you a little bit larger overall refugium size.
Assuming my math is correct anyway.
They are pretty good. The CPR sans skimmer are a popular brand. Aquatraders sells a knockoff, but ymmv with them.
2 medium sized CPRs would be great on a 90 if you have the room.

p.s. Hi, I'm new here!
Welcome.
The aquarium in Camden. [url]http://www.adventureaquarium.com/ It's a little expensive, but it's open 365. I'm there...
Almost made it the whole time there without an accident... at least it was only water.
Thank you for having us. My older one even admitted she had a lot of fun once she stopped pouting about leaving.
