All the sockets are under my tank but the sump is around the corner I guess you'd say in my closet so if anything my clothes are getting ruined lol. I made the mistake of putting the tank in my room
so my one powerhead is shot due to a pos power strip & the heater is working but on its way out so needs to be replaced. so for a powerhead i'm going to get 2 hydor koralia evos 1050 and the heater i'm going to pick up fluval e series 300w (one at first but will eventually buy a second)

I actually just checked them out on the vendor section & saw they had their prices in a photo. The rock looks awesome & prices aren't bad at all, thanks for the tip guys. I'm going to try and get there this weekend
Thanks Sunny & jgraz, I think I'll contact Ultra & get it from them. This way I know exactly what I'm getting. Do you have an idea of what the price/lb is by any chance, even a ballpark would suffice I don't expect you guys to know exactly what it is.
Which brand dry rock would you recommend, my tank is currently up & running so I would have to cure it first. Personal experience are greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, JR
I'm heating up the water as I'm about to attack this cyano issue going on in my tank. Any last minute suggestions? I know a few have recommended taping a tooth brush to the siphon (what I'm doing) its on the sand, rock & glass for reference.
So just scrape it off the glass and siphon it? When I did that with hair algae it spread like wildfire I just don't wanna go through that again. What's the best way to go about this?
What should I do about the cyano on the glass? Leave it be and just siphon the stuff floating? It gets a little direct light but I try to keep my Shades closed. No temp spikes usually at somewhere around 77/78 degrees
So I just did a 30% water change a few days ago and today I noticed a stringy spider web like stubstance which is pink in color and I have never seen anything like it. I was curious if anyone know what it is and what caused it. Also, is it harmful to my tank, aside from it being an eye sore
This might be really obvious and I'm just missing something but I have a question pertaining to tank temperature. So I normally keep my tank between 77-78 degrees but during the winter I like to turn my fan on and open the windows. I haven't been able to do that this summer because my tank drops...
I think this one is GE, it's incredible they still allow these thins to be sold on the market. There was no water anywhere around the socket and as you can see in the pictures it's completely fried
How's it going, most Of you are veterans to the feeding community but for those of you who are not be VERY CAREFUL when using digital power strips. Here's why, over the past few days there's been a burning smell in the house, when we investigated further we realized it was coming from my room...
CO2 is a serious possibility now that you describe it that way, we have the heat on all winter and I can't have my windows open or fan on because it drops the temp in my tank
So I woke up to my foxface dead, my water params are fine but I can retest. I've had him for probably over a month and completely healthy always ate active swimmer and yesterday he just wasn't swimming. The two other clowns I have in the tank are fine and acting normal. Just want to know if...
he's not swimming around like he usually do, he's just been on the corner. All other fish (2 clowns) are fine and very active I fed today and he didn't eat much. I just turned lights off maybe he's stressed out he can sleep
