Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Thanks Tony. All thanks to you and good advise from club members. Joining this club has proven to be very beneficial. I wouldn't have come this far without it.
Tony, Thank you for the opportunity to purchase some of your prized possessions. I was a pleasure getting to know you and your family. You have all made an impact on me in such a positive way. I wish you all the best and hope we can stay in touch once you move. Also, Thank you for your...
I have a 3 year old bucket of Reef Crystals. Its slightly damp and clumpy. I can break it up. Does the salt degrade/ lose potency over time? Would be great if I could use it and save $60. Not at the risk of introducing a problem though.
After 10 days of dosing with peroxide just about all of the dynos are gone as well as other nuance algae. All of the corals and fish are fine. Just wondering if I should continue with a maintenance dose and what that dose should be. Anyone have any info on this? I also plan to start testing...
I'll take that advise. I notice my pumpkin smash is behaving odd. It blowing itself up and lifting on one side to expose the base. Hope this is not a result of the dosing.
Day 5 Update. The lights are back on. I cut the intensity for a while and shortened the duration. Almost all of the dinos are gone. Some of the other nuisance algae is also diminishing. I will continue the dosage till day 9 and hopefully wont need to do a regular maintenance dose. Not sure if...
Everything in the tank seems fine after dosing or three days. dinos are dieing off and the corals and fish are fine. Skimmer is behaving normally, no adjustments needed .I did get a lot of info from this recommended tread. Worth the read if you have any reservations...
I will absolutely go the full three days. Corals seem fine. Been checking them with a flashlight. I also have a black cover over the glass. Not the top though. Want to keep airflow.
My first dose was the recommended 1ml per 10 gal. I have a 54 corner with a 1/2 full ten gal sump. Deducting rock displacement I figure around 50 gal of water so a total of 5ml per day of peroxide. After three days of dosing and around 56 hours of lights out I can already see an improvement...
I have started the black out period and peroxide treatment after day two of the black out. I will post my results as I progress. After reading the tread on r2r I decided to dose earlier and will most likely turn the lights on tomorrow.
