So Ive been seeing temps up to 84 on the hotter days in my nanocube 24dx. I replaced the fans with higher output ones, which also came with the higher volume. Currently its 2 everflow 60mm that I found at microcenter, 12 each. Anyway I wasnt happy with the flow out of the exhausts right above...

Yea, I have been rushing it a little. Hard to control myself though, everything in a salt tank is sooo much nicer than fresh! I read the posts on Zoa toxin, pretty crazy stuff! I dont know who it was but someone mentioned contacts, and they went blind for a little, very scary! I hate not being...

Ive been addicted since my friend put the thought of him selling his nano...I swore I was fresh only! I want corals more than fish, but I think Im limited by the 72w total PC. Im trying to DIY another bulb or 2 in, well see.

Yeah, the rock mustve fallen backwards, I moved it lower and more central so it can spread out. Most of the polyps receded from me touching it I guess. Its got around 1 ft now.

Theyve only been there since Sunday, not all of the polyps are open yet, but most are. It seems as though it found itself a better position, I didnt leave it in the direction of where it is now.

Ok, so now if I want to move them, do I just grab them and re place? Or do they attach themselves?

Ive read that theyll stretch if too far away, but whaqt about too close? Bleaching? Im running a 24 nanocube with 72w PC, 36w of 10k, and 36w of actinik.(sp?) Right now my mushroom and zoo are about 6-8 inches below the surface of the water. Recently moved so not all are open yet. Thanks

Its possible, but Im very new to this. I found someone who might have a hood laying around, he said he was going to throw it out so I might get a deal. If I can get it, Ill tear it apart and do what I want.

Thanks for the links, but what Im really looking for is to add another 36w PC into my hood. Cant hurt right? Im going to go to home depot in a little to explore a little bit.

Has anyone done any of the nanotuners mods on their own? Id love to add another PC bulb, even make my own little LED setup for some cheato in the back. Im not very good with transformers, etc. so any links would be great. There s a Home Depot within walking distance and Id love to put it to use!

Yeah, be careful with overstocking in these tanks, everythings so drastic. I recently started with a 24nanocube, and its easy to see how easily even the temperatue is affected. Post pics by clicking additional options below the test box, and upload.
