Well, even though it sicks to lose them that way, I was planning on converting to a FOWLR. So this helped me along to that path and now it's up and running after the weekend.
Yeh that is true, it supposingly keeps PH up because of the limestone. Guess I'll skip it and sell it off on a Cichlid Forum. Poor Damsels, are they the guinea pigs of the hobby :(
I have this really nice piece of Texas Holey rock from my cichild setup. Would this be ok to add to a FOWLR, (obviously after sterilizing it) along with live rock. It's a really nice piece and actually looks like reef rock, lots of nice holes for hiding.
Thanks guys . I called Tropiquarium, before I read the repsonses, he also said NO SOAP. He told me to use White Vinegar. So I did, it smelled like fish salad while cleaning it ;D
Thanks

Well came home today and noticed a cloudy tank, and dead fish. The water was cooking ! Of course the old heater cracked after I had it for a few years. guess I should have replaced it. Anyway I was contemplating converting it to a FOWLR, so heres my chance.
Should I use bleach to clean out...
Hows the flow with the AC 70 ? Did you change the impeller by any chance to slow down the flow. I have read some threads where they either cut it down or replace it with an AC 20 or 30 impeller.
Tell me if I;m wrong, but did you get that light at animals N Things ? I have the same one ! Never seen it anywhere else.
Here's my 2.5g http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=164926&hl=diverrk
Electrician for 21 years here. I'm actually surprised your friend couldn't answer this. In a simple answer you would have to have every light, appliance and whatever else you have on in the house to even come close to tripping your main and even that's hard to do. Anyway your 200A panel is...
Will at AO knows im looking for one so he is keeping an eye out for one. He said he hadn't seen them in a while, which is what seems to be the norm. I'll just have to wait till Will comes thru for me. ;D
Thanks
OK, I'm looking to buy a Panda Goby, apparently they are hard to come by locally and I won't pay $35-40 shipping for a $25 fish ;D So if anybody has any inkling to where I can find one, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks
Rich K
Nope Had to go myself ;D I know it was a stupid question, but in a moment of laziness and the need to lower the salinity I hoped someone would say yes ;D
Thanks
Delete this dumb post Mods Please
;D I never really noticed it, it does look really large. This tank isn't up anymore I transfered everyting and added more to a big 3g. http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=164926&st=0
I added a Ranco controller to turn my fan on/off. Set the temp on the controller for 79 and keeps it constant, and lower evap since fan isn't on all the time.
