With the Tunze controller and setting the pumps to sequential you can make an enourmous wave. When I just had water and rock in the tank I was playing around and was getting over an inch of wave and water was splashing out of the tank
I have 2 6100's in my 90 and I have them turned down to 30% each. If you dont have a controller I thnk 1 pushing 100% power would make a mess of the sand bed. Even at 30% my sand gets shoved all over the place still
I work for the NJ Carpenters Union and I have gotten work from local people calling our Union Hall and asking the business agents for people to go work on their house. I can assure that if you call your local carpenters union hall they will know exactly who to call out to help you. I don't know...
They do move the sand around a lot, but it seems to have settled off for the most part. It is funny when a fish is swimming and hits the current stream, you can definitely see where the power is

Looks good, and now you have something to nail/screw to if you wanted to wrap it in oak or something
Thanks guys. The covers on the tunze's were done by Stan. He said it inncreased flow, or maybe widened it out i forget. I only have them at about 30% power and it still blows my sand around a little
Tank is all up[ and running, here are some pics of the new guys loving all the extra space. All fish are getting along great and corals are opening up completely. So far so good.
I have a little bit that Darren gave to me to try and get the pods going in my tank. I am going tomorrow to buy some trigger pods also. I picked it up last weekend so I wasn't able to get more, sorry
I added 3 bottles of bio spira today to my tank. From what I ready that will cycle the tank completely. Someone please chime in if I am incorrect. Ocean Gallery II carries them on the shelf, they no longer need to be stored cold
Okay thanks a lot, I will raise the night time temp so the swing is less. And I will also try adding a fan in the sump area to try and keep it cooler when the lights are running
The heat is just from the house, since the tank is in my loft and the heat rises to it. I have a ceiling fan on all the time to push the hot air back down. The tank is at 76.4 this morning, but I will raise the heater up to 77. So 77-80 is okay then? My nano tank sits at 75 year round, never...
Awesome tank and rock work. When you put the zoos on the over flow you just snipped them with scissors and crazy glued them there? I have a few that spread onto rockwork that I'd like to try to do that to on my new tank.
