Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
So, I stopped at one of my LFS (Fin City Aquatics) and he had a couple of cool looking clowns. So I picked them up! Now I'm at 5 different pairs of clowns! I'll have pics soon! Since I only have four set ups going, I have a pair of my clowns in a 2.5g tank I use for QTing small fish. I'd really...
If you are just doing a bug farm (pods) then no, light isn't needed. You won't see a lot of good algae growth down there, but the rock will still be live. If you decide too anyway, that freshwater led is probably more then enough :p
If you guys need a extra set of hands, let me know. I'd be free to come down on Sunday and help out (It would take me a few hours to get down there though lol). Also, if you need any help setting up equipment, I'd be more then happy to lend a hand :)
I bet haha, he'll be a small fish in a large tank! At least for a few years haha :). And, I'm glad you got something like that, you sure needed something to brighten your day. I hope you enjoyed today, and I look forward to this tank getting all wet :)
I'll take some on Sunday if you will keep it till then/have any left by then. Unfortunately, I can't come any sooner then that. PM me, and let me know if it's okay, and your address. Earlier in the day is better for me, thanks!
Does anyone have a BTA that has recently split and is willing to part with one? I'm willing to kick some cash in for it! I've got a few pairs of clowns that I'm trying to breed, and BTA would look a lot nicer then a flower pot
Scopas Tang is gone
Bursa and Snowflake still left.
I will hold them till this weekend for people to come and get them. After that, they go back to the LFS. So, if anyone wants them, come pick them up!!
Like I said before, he never messed with any of my softies, but, the chance is always there that he could. I try and be upfront with people, less headaches in the long run lol. So, make sure you guys read up on the things I've posted about the fish! The eel, is, well, a eel. So, keep that in...
The Trigger never nipped at my Finger Leather, or my Toadstool. That and Zoas are the only softies I've ever tried him with. I can't say for certain that the possibility isn't there that he could though. He's a very mellow trigger though, kept him with a Niger for about a month, with no conflict...
I see, fortunately, mine is attached to a pretty tiny piece of rubble that I buried in the sand haha :p. I'm going to cut mine in half, and then half again after a while. Mine is easily removed though :p. Four heads like that will look pretty sweet :)
Holy damn. That is a huge toadstool. Have you thought about fragging it a bit? They sure are a awesome coral. Mine, fully extended, is about the size of a golf ball. Can't wait till mine is that big haha :p
So, all three are still here. I'd really rather see them go to a good home instead of my LFS. This way, someone who is low budget like myself, can get some nice fish for free, rather then have a LFS of mine get them for free, and make 30$ a piece off them. So, this will be my final attempt to...
You are extremely lucky that the rock didn't cause the glass to shatter. That would of been a horrible nightmare. Even if your frogspawn is damaged from it, it will most likely come back as long as it's new spot is okay, and it won't be bothered anymore. When I was re-arranging my tank I dropped...
Ouch, that was a little harsh. Keep in mind, he's just trying to look out for your best interest, in the end though, it's your tank. So, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks or says, you are going to do what you will. So, try and take it as constructive criticism. He wasn't meaning to lash...
Also, I'd re-use the water from it. And even after siphoning sand, stuff still gets stirred up during the transfer. Unfortunately, I don't know much about LEDs. I'm more of a T5 kinda guy. So, someone with more experience with LEDs would have to chime in here, sorry!
