Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
i've used Iwasaki 6500K's- awesome awesome growth- yellow colors though (like the sun :D )
I currently have Reeflux 12K's- but the t5's run alongside them, pops the colors, you can see them on the vodka thread
I may switch back to XM 10K's, don't know yet, I liked them for the crisp white and...
lol. same here. my wrasse was covered in dog hair as well. considering i haven't had a dog in 2 years, that's pretty bad!
he is now a full time resident in the sump (the angel was chasing him)
Baking soda here too.... cheap, effective, and cheap and I can easily find some in the house somewheres. I think I have one in my closet, one in my fridge, one in the freezer, one in the pantry........ Oh, and it's cheap.
Never had that problem with the Alk/Ca swings. Could it have been the Zeo method? I have a Calcium reactor, and it's dialed in with the inhabitants calcium uptake so no major swingage here
Cons: can't keep sand sifting critters, not so "natural" look,
Pros: crazy water flow, ability to...
Epoxy does that to the skimmer, it will make it go crazy.
As far as I know, a tank can never be 'over skimmed', it just won't skim anything at all. The way a protein skimmer works is that dissolved Organic molecules (since they love oxygen) will adhere to the bubbles produced in a skimmer's...
. . . algae dissappearing in 3 days with no light, and coral colors including SPS to come back in 3 days seems a little far fetched even to me. . .
good water movement, correct light spectrums and acceptable photoperiod, regular water changes, wet skimming and less feeding will help in the...
Hi Bill, Hi Jim, Hi Bax, Hi Phil.
Just popped in to say Hi.
No wonder my ears were ringing all day today, unfortunately, I'm busy making a spin off dish for Saint Patty's day. Double cooked Corned beef with southwestern hash :D
Behave kids!
Ugh. I missed a great meeting. We didn't get back from the 3000 mile drive until 11pm that night- it looks like you all had a great time. I see Bobby-Llama graced the premises!

hmmm, okay. Thanks for the stat # , It does say horizontal, but I see some guys who mod their bikes have them vertical, the bike is a cruiser, so maybe it'll be ok? I got pulled over on my kawinin a few times when I had it years ago, but never on the cruiser (knocks on wood).
Nice bike ya gots...
Does anyone know if a side mount vertical license plate is legal in Jersey? Thinking of chopping up the rear fender and mounting the plate to the side vertically with a light of course, anyone know?
thanks
Merv
Dave, I did host once before, but my place only comfortably holds under 8 people. I hosted a meeting when the club was in its infancy.
The food blog site is up, BUT.........I had to take a trip first

Same issue with Rich, except it would NEVER sign me on, but the name/password says saved.
I use Safari now. IE is toooooo slow for me and crashes on my Dell
I use Captain Steve Bent out of Margate and Cape May. Out of Cape May, he does stripes and drum, out of Cape May in the summer, he goes tuna and shark. Only thing is, he can only do 6 people, but his other friend whom I know as well (Bob Kill$hi+) also owns a charter that can do 6. Maybe they...
