Well, hope this is better...

I pulled the insert and used a blade to 'clean' up the openings.
This is my skimate after 6 hours. Like a light tea. I was expecting a darker smeller mess
well these are a "bid" so they are starting at 160 - I'd need 2 and no way I want to win 1 and then have to bid out against someone for the second - i agree about the dimming and the fact that I've been fine without dimming until now but I'm looking for a way to acclimate to whatever I end up...
yep - i wasn't buying his line - like I said, convo speaks for itself....
looks like I'll have to mod the insert or go with one of the reactor mods I've seen....
Jim - what do you mean by the "plastic canvas"?
you wouldn't ...what? trust what the customer service rep claimed? or follow Jim's advice regarding the canvas?
yep, got the pics - they looked GREAT!!
I'm so glad that worked out - that was too far to drive for a gamble so I was worried that after all that you might have problems - I was glad that they settled and looks like they're thriving.
I physically took the whole set up apart multiple times as I changed things - so there were definitely no clumps.
I emailed BRS and, well, I think the whole conversation speaks for itself…(I cleared some of the names and such…)

Well, it was just a matter of time right? It was inevitable…, but for $160. What do I do with the DIY stuff I've started to accumulate? Well, they're not CREEs so quality control is probably a crapshoot and PAR could vary widely from one unit to the next but still, $160
This is a HARD decision...
the $12 probe is sold dry - not sure how it differs from the probes but it's just a raw electrode in the package, but I too the accuracy - that's why I skipped it.
As for the probes - I think #2 on your list is what got me. I've been through 3 - well to be fair, 2 (one came with the RKII I got...
Anyone have thought on whether or not this would work to test water. The scale goes to 9.0. I'm sick of probes lasting no time and for $12 at HD thought I'd get some opinions
Yep, the flow was up to max to demonstrate or highlight the issue. I slowed it down later in the vid. I did rotate it. Actually it's hard to do that in a controlled manner b/c screwing the canister on makes it sort of a guess as to where it will "land". Anyway the spot "moved" relative to the...
Well I tried everything and no dice. Here's what I did:
1 I started with trying to level the reactor.
2 switched the pump with the 12 running my GAC
3 switched the reactor "top" on case there was a blockage on the inlet
4 took out the bio pellet reactor and tried the toothbrush trick and still...
If you have the older style like in the pic they're very easy to detach from the controller. Just pry the to snap clips at either end and unplug the cable. Can't speak to the ES controllers but the dry side and wire is the same do I'd bet they're pretty similar.
just when one of these clowns feels like they can buy whatever they want, someone gives them the "estimate" and the contact info for the folks at the NASA division of Lockheed Martin to build him some sort of synthetic dwarf star initially developed to colonize a bio-dome on a distant moon. :o
the video is after about 10-11 hours post set-up. I think the issue is likely the fact that the reactor isn't level. I guess if I level it (or check it first, thanks George) and the problem continues I will explore other areas. Just given the angle it's sitting at correlated with the side...
