it may not be blown. some speakers handle low frequencies well, others not. The sony amplifier should have dB settings for how much bass you want on the speakers. If you play with the settings a little, you will be able to control the bass going to them so they won't be popping. A blown speaker...

also, check to see that no speaker wires cross each other coming OUT of the amplifier. If you have 4 speakers in the car, and they worked before, see to make sure that no copper strands cross on the amp terminals. that will cause them not to play, worse still overwork the amp.

just posted right before me. if that is correct, then the guy who installed it used some kind of line splitter, like a Y-splitter, that could be either loose, or worse, "rigged" lol (I've had my fair shares of those myself)
