I bought a striped blenny a week ago and it wouldn't eat flake or frozen until yesterday. If it weren't for the pods in my tank it most likely would have starved. I had the same thing happen with my canary blenny. The only pods I can actually see are the amphipods which are huge compared to...
I've found how pods are part of the cuc early on and how they add to the diet of many fish and some corals, but if it wasn't for them some of my fish wouldn't have made it- blennies and some gobies. my Canary and striped blennies only ate pods when I first got them- for the first couple of...
I've bought my pods on ebay in the past with free shipping- hoping to find some recommendations, looking to buy multiple types with free or cheap shipping- can also combine an order with someone in Morris county ( or close- I'm in Chester)
Who did you buy from. The vendors I buy from use styrofoam boxes with styrofoam peanuts as fill along with heat packs that are good for over 24 hrs- your fish should be fine. One supplier's order didn't arrive until after 3 pm in the dead of winter and all my fish were fine
I've learned some time ago to stick with inexpensive hardy fish at fist- never had any disease in my 6 tanks ( all but 3 given away- only running 2 now- 40B up for grabs ) thought fish had flukes once and treated for them- I've made big mistakes on coral though, jumped the gun- lost corals and...
5 months in now with both a CB and a pigmy in my 75g with no problems/issues both get along with each other- don't eat my corals ( softies) , 4 damsels, a wrasse, tomini etc
One of my favorite fish- good for just about any tank 20g and up- get along with most other fish- fanged are the easiest to add to any tank- the other fish leave them alone. Most are inexpensive and very hardy- along with being very active- ones that I've had/have- fanged- tailspot, bicolor and...
Hey Stan, phyto anytime- just let me know- the xenia you gave me took off for the coast- I thought they were attached- could use some more- this time I'll keep them caged for a while
Snowed in at Stratton isn't really a bad thing- I love Vt
