It's one of the those moments that still sends shivers up your spine thinking about it even though it was almost 30 years ago. In a way it's funny because the pain was a lot worse then the broken bones & fractures I've had growing up but there was no lasting injury or treatment needed after the...
Yea man, nail injuries hurt like the dickens. I remember when I was 13 or 14 "playing" in my dad's printing company with the new book binder/stapler. It can drive long thick staples through an inch of paper with no problem in very, quick succession. I wasn't watching what I was doing and before...
Hello volk,
Welcome back!
I'm sure you remember but one of the first things you need to do is to cycle your live rock and sand which can take a while. You normally want between 1 to 2lbs of rock per gallon of water so you will want 30 to 60lbs of rock. Use whatever amount of sand you think...
I don't know if anyone is stuggle to get there taxes done tonight but if so RELAX as you have 2 more days in the North East to get them turned in due to the recent storm. No explanation is needed but if you file a paper return just write the word DISASTER on the top of the first page of your...
I wouldn't say that Ed. But when I can combine two of my favorite things (reef and programming - actually macro programming) it's right up my alley and I know a lot about it and can get it to do a lot.
I'm working on some clever things for it's use on my new system. Using a combination of...
I've tried every trick I can think off or have read and my green madarin won't touch anything but live pods. He won't even touch artic pods.
My spotted manderin will eat the artic pods and live baby brine (although not that healthy for them).
IMHO this is a fish you want to see eat in the...
I've got a 3 pro. Yes it's worth it to me but I think it's overkill for the average person.
The main differences between the 3 & 3 Pro are:
2x16 backlit display on the 3 versus 4X20 Backlight on the 3 Pro
2 Digital inputs on the 3 versus 4 Inputs on the 3 Pro (if you even use them)
24 (3)...
I've had success using a gel type superglue (superglue, crazyglue). Pull the frag out of the water and dry off the bottom as best you can with a paper towel or something. Put a liberal dose of the gel glue on the frag. Get a nice "bubble" of glue on it. The bubble will form a protective coating...
I must say I never tried them side by side like that for the visual. I'm really surprised at the way it looks. It really makes me want to try stepping down to 14Ks for the look if it weren't for the fact of the bottom dwellers in my 30" tanks.
While I'm sure it's true that the more blue light...
If they are all the same manufacture it shouldn't make a difference.
Does/Did it look like that in person or did the camera exagerate it somewhat?
Carlo
PS Nice looking tank.
My understanding is that puffers and triggers shouldn't be in the same tank unless it's very large. I have no experience with this first hand but have read it a couple of times. Matter of fact one of the latest issues of an aquarium mag had mention of this. I'll track it down for you if you want...
I certainly couldn't from that picture. The 10Ks look much brighter there. It almost looks like the ends of the tank don't have any lights on compared to the middle.
That's almost the opposite of what I've noticed on my tanks.
