If you still have the apex you can use float switches in your skimmer cup and other place to turn things off and it can tell you if the power is off. Also text you if something in not right.

Nice the reviews on r2r seem pretty good. I've been thinking about picking one up but I have no room under my stand for it. Only negative about it is it can't do test with powder. I thought you were getting the trident.

I had the sliver package I feel like it was worth it I liked get coral every month and I liked not knowing what was coming. It's a nice way to feel up a tank. If you price out each piece you get you save money.

you probably don't need gfo or bio pellets if you cant get a reading. You should pull them and see where you tank stabilize at.

I would do a Herbie it can handle 1200 gph. 1200 gph is a lot of flow. I probably only have 800 to 900 gph on my 225.

For me personally I dont care about testing calcium and magnesium twice a day. If I were to get one I would get an alkatronic I like that its a standalone unit. The trident needs a new apex and 2 dos unit to dose the tank.

You need a volt meter set it to AC put the ground probe on metal or in the ground side of an outlet and the red probe in the water. If there is stay voltage it will show on the screen of the meter. It wont hurt the fish because they are not grounded.
