I used it in different tanks. Last time I used it was in my 225 when I first set it up and it hasn't been back and that was over a year ago. Never lost any coral or had any problems with it.
It depends on the refactometer. The instructions for mine only say to calibrate with distilled water not calibration fluid. It reads spot on with my Milwaukee tester and every icp test I have done.
When I get air in my I pull the line out at the highest point turn off the recirculating pump and let the kamoer run till it pushes all the air out. Usually takes couple minutes.
Its sounds like air trapped in it or to much co2. Try turning the recirculating pump off and let the kamoer run and let it push some of the air out. Might have to shake it a little.
For a new tank with not alot of coral you'll want to run the stirrer off a dosing pump or a timed outlet and not your ato. Ato with dose more then what your tank needs. A stirrer is fully saturated kalk you cant change the strength of it like you can if you put it into your ato reservoir.
That's what I thought about the tips but alk only went as high as 8.9 before I got it dailed in.
Something is irritating them because some are sliming up. Some of them are doing just fine and growing. It's just weird
I tested the water last night alk is 7.8 calcium 425 magnesium 1250 nitrate...
