If its velvet you have bigger things to worry about. Even if it's just crypto that is a bad infestation. I know crypto can be managed and will eventually burn its self out but that Hippo looks severely infected. Not every fish can build immunity to the parasite. What size tank is that Hippo in?

Looks like a type of tube worm to me. Have them all over my sump.

What size tank do you have? Those will probably do nothing. On my reefer 750 I have a pentair 120 watt plumbed inline. Have about 800 gph going through the unit. As an fyi the unit is so large I had to plumb it into a different room.

Those spots are big and looks like crypto however there is quite a lot of them which does point to velvet. Either way with that severe of an infestation your probably going to have to treat.

If anyone has one mine just gave out and can't control my lights over my sps tank. Let me know and I can pick up asap. If your selling it as part of light combo I will consider it as long as the price is ok.

With your low nutrients are you sure its cyanobacteria and not dino's? Cyano is not difficult to get rid of.

Anyone want a free purple tang that has HLLE? Right now it's in my 55 gallon QT as I was never able to get the fish is my display as it was a bit to aggressive with some of my smaller fish. Unfortunately it developed HLLE but with good diet and a new tank should rebound. Let me know.
