    If you're using rock that's already in the tank it won't but if your adding dry rock to it it will cause a little mini cycle. Try not to stir your sand bed up to much.

    I'm with itzju you shouldn't dose anything unless your testing for it. Do a bunch of water changes to get you levels normal.

    I liked it ran it for about a year dosing trace elements. Never gave me a problem the app is easy to use and the pumps pretty accurate. Just have to use check valve on the lines that's it . I have a dosing container too.
