    Sorry to hear about the Setosa, but it's a very hardy coral. I would make sure the remaining pieces are attached to something, i.e. plug, or rock.

    I run two Mag 9's on a 180 with two overflows, and although it's never going to be "silent", it's not too bad. Is there anything impeding the flow after the durso, i.e. elbow's or other fittings?

    Definitely and unconventional idea, but why not mount a couple of LED strips along the sides of the tank. You would have to use your imagination and McGyver skills, but might be interesting.
