So had to change up the stand a bit.
I had the idea to rip the 2x4's to 3" to take the curve out and make a nice square edge. The trimming seemed to go fine, however when I assembled i noticed some of the boards were not completely square. I noticed it, but I guess didnt seem to pay it any mind...
Should be a relatively slow build. I dont plan I getting it wet until at least mid February, but you know how that goes. Wouldn't be surprised if I had water flowing for New Year's.

Thanks Mike.
Plan at the moment is to use a 40B for sump. I've been doing some collecting over the last couple of months and so far I have the following ready to go.
Spectrapure RODI
Aquaticlife booster
6x54 ATI Sunpower
SWC 160 Cone skimmer
Neptune Apex EL
MP40-QD
Jebao DCP-6500
And about 140...
I've never heard of Algaebarn before.
Just looked it up and my jaw dropped. Anyone selling cheato at any price, much less those prices should be ashamed of themselves.

After about 2.5 years away I'm coming back in with a less overwhelming system.
Going with a 90RR tank, 40B DIY sump, and DIY stand. I'm planning this to closely mirror my previous 90 setup with a few minor changes. Tank is purchased as is most of the equipment at this point. Starting the stand...
I picked up the Apex EL on Ebay with one of the random coupons that they keep putting out.
Just research the sellers, some are official neptune dealers so buy from them only.
I used the 20% off coupon
When I had my classic, all I had to do was cycle the power to reconnect.
I had one in my 180 when I had it. Loved it from the get go. Never messed with any fish, but i never say my shrimps again. And if a small snail dropped off the glass it was toast. It was relatively small though, only about 3-4"

Definitely ditch the purple for sure. Coral+ has all the purple you need.
When I was running I ending up changing to 6 blue+ and 2 coral+, but I like the blue(er) look. Switch a blue for coral for slight whiter.
I always thought True Actinic as a show bulb. Helps make things pop more, so I never...
Why not get your hands on an Aquaclear HOB filter. They are easily converted to a refugium.
Most hob type refugiums use a pump inside the tank to pump water through it and back to the tank.
Replacement filters for the RODI.
Jebao DCP-6500
Apex EL
Refractometor
2xBRS Reactors
120lbs of Rock
15lbs of Shelf rock
That should do it.
Getting out of this hobby is ridiculously expensive.

Here you go.
You could probably work out a good deal here and get it shipped

As long as you have that kind of stock and so little actual filtration its going to continue to degrade over time.
GFO in a HOB filter is going to do very little as it really needs to be fluid to do anything. And with the amounts recommended in a tank that size it will most likely be saturated...
