Yep and made in the exact same factory along with the aquatic life bulbs. The AL bulbs have less color choice I have seen a few awesome tanks with them as well, including a full blown SPS TOTM on RC a while back.
Only cause I was able to get the giesemann locally(hidden reef) in 80w. Been reading good things about them so I figured why not. I'm keeping a close eye though, any signs of color loss and it's back to ATI.
I'm a bot different as I don't bother with the while dawn/dusk thing. When I ran a 4 bulb fixture I used 3 Blue+ and one Coral+. On my DT I use a 8 bulb fixture. I am running ATI bulbs, 6 Blue+ 10am-10pm, and 2 Coral+12pm-8pm. I am currently switching to Guieseman bulbs using the equivalent...
I had the OR S026 leds. They are same as the T247 except the timers. I was running them for about a year before I gave up trying to get good colors out of them. Switch to T5 and colors of all corals have improved drastically. I did however keep one fixture running on my sons 45G cube. This cube...
I have the S026. It really is weird. But a blessing nonetheless. I really wanted to complete the switch to t5 and this was the thing to do it. This weekend me and my baseball ball get to have a little fun.
I already posted on R2R. I would on RC too but I'm banned:(
As far as the ATI. Do it you will not be disappointed. I switched to it and absolutely can not figure out why I didn't do it from the start. I wish I could have gone with the hybrid powermodule but that thing is way out of my wallet.
Just a little update on mine. I had a fixture repaired by Ocean Revive. I use that over my sons tank. Last night I went in his room to feed the fish and saw the blue LEDs flickering. Upon closer inspection I could also catch the faint smell of electricity. Needless to say I turned them off...
Ok so then it has its own controller.
When I used the dosers I just split up my dose in 12 hr increments. Calcium dosed from 9a-9p and alk the other 12 hrs. Usually the all in one dosers split up the dose throughout the entire day so I'm not really sure there.
Tech illiterate or not I would...
