Im trying to get a benchmark for my tank. As per calculations, im using up .5 dkh a day in a 230 gallon system... minimal SPS.
What do you guys have for consumptions and what is your system volume? for comparison purposes
Really depends on the reactor size. If u can fit 3-4 cups of gfo AND maintain flow. the standard will work just like the hc version. But since we normally have the brs regular reactor the hc is needed so that we put less media I'm the reactor
Exactly what I was looking for.... Thanks guys.
and i didn't know the Calcium additive was already adjusted for this ratio. So essentially I dont need to do anything but dose equal parts.
Thank you
GFO is not a bad thing. I read that it will nip any leaching phosphates early.
Skimmer maybe not... Cause u want the bacteria to be colonized in your rock and system and not extracted via skmmate
Sorry bud. The media you are putting into reactor is essentially dead coral (aragonite, i believe). So as the CO2 breaks it down., it releases the perfect balanced dose needed by living coral
Disclaimer: This is the way i understand it.
